David Seaman, The Most Interesting Story of 2016-17

Besides the underdog story of Trump, I think that the last two years of David Seaman's life might be the most intriguing thing of 2016-17.

When it comes to people like David, it's easy to forget that everyone is just a person with their own stressors in life and their own views and motivations -- David is a person, just like you or me, struggling to get by in a sometimes inhospitable world.

I preface his story this way because it helps me to put myself in his shoes and imagine what he is going through, and if I were in his place I would be getting very close to going completely nuts. But the circumstances of his life and mine are much different. I, for instance, have a wife and child, and if I'd been threatened the way he's been I don't know if I can honestly say I would have the fortitude to continue on. I don't know if he has these responsibilities in his own life, but I doubt he does, because he has the resolve of a man with nothing left to lose.

FIrst, a little history on Seaman.

I remember seeing stuff about Seaman a few years ago when I first got into Bitcoin. He was a middle-sized media predominately who's journalism treated Cryptocurrencies and marijuana legalization. He had interviewed the likes of Stefan Molyneux and even Donald Trump. I would've considered him a classical liberal, in the Thomas Jefferson sense.

Seaman was a contributor for Huffington Post, until one day, he questioned Hillary's health, and suddenly... he wasn't a contributor anymore.

I would say that this was the catalyzing event that changed Seaman's career, and, in that strange way that life does things, made him much more relevant. If you look at the videos before this one, they were making a modest few thousand views here and there, then suddenly he's making videos with hundreds of thousands of views -- some videos even getting millions of views. The word of his ousting by HuffPo made its way through alternative media.

There's an obvious corollary here: talk about the failing health of a known corrupt political candidate, and suddenly you get fired. This put Hillary in David's sights as enemy number 1, and his subsequent videos went hard at the toppling jezibelle and the recent WikiLeaks dumps revealing her dealings with very creepy and sick people such as John Podesta and Marina Abromovitch.

And as the leaks got worse and worse and delved deeper and deeper into the secret lives of those at the highest levels of power, Seaman became the voicebox for PizzaGate, and his popularity began to soar. His channel gained tens of thousands of vigorous subscribers, sitting at nearly 150,000 at the time of this writing, and David now had a whole new and different career on his hands.

Then -- as you might expect but also have trouble believing -- his trouble truly began.

His videos began being deleted.

His Wikipedia page got edited and then deleted.

His paypal account frozen, then unfrozen, then frozen again.

Complications with people signing up to his patreon account.

The Daily Show had organized a segment with him about PizzaGate which was abruptly canceled.

And then, in the most tragic of events, a close friend of his was murdered.

Now, right here, I want you to imagine what you would do if this was your life. Just put yourself in his shoes, run your life through the the lens of these experiences, and think about how you would handle all of this.

This, in my opinion, is one of the most interesting ongoing stories in America, as David soldiers on in his research of the deep corruption of the largest power-players in the world, fighting against censorship, oppression, and abuse.
