Sand Rats
Our adventure begins with a 4WD trip along the Cooloola National Park beach / Rainbow Beach.
Here we spent most of the morning building sandcastles and swimming.
By lunch the kids wanted to grab some lunch before hopping back into the 4WD and driving to the national park for a hike to the top of the Cooloola Sand patch.
Lucky I had packed some lunch because it was very busy in town, full of locals, tourists and backpackers, and I am very impatient so if you are like me pack lunch.
An amazing fact about the Cooloola sand patch is that it is the largest coastal sand dune in Australia at a height of 221 metres,
you can really marvel at the beautiful views over the town of Rainbow beach and the beach.
Unfortunately we had forgotten to pack some cardboard to do some sand dune surfing.
Lucky some naughty little litter bug had left some cardboard for us to use.
We spent all afternoon here playing on the dunes.
We had the best time here, that's why I shared these photos with you.
This was cool to see in a tree, please don't flee with out an upvote I plea.

nice pictures,remembers me being there in march.we stayed near gympie in goomboorian with friends and made a day trip to rainbow beach.beautiful part of AUS.
btw your voting power is very low,its not helping anybody....best thing to keep it between 80 and 100 percent...

you get it..it took me a while too.
you keep your fingers from the upvote button for 3 to 4 days,then you are up to a 100 percent again.there are posts around who tell you how many votes you can do to retrain full power..i reckon 8 to 10 a day or something like that.

Brings back memories. I remember driving many miles along Rainbow beach to see the shipwreck of the Cherry Venture. I don't think its there anymore. That was back around 1980.
loved every minute of it, didn't go to far sorry to say.
