Meeting Santa Clause

~ 05.32 am ~

Good morning guys and girls, well not so much good because it's so early for a day off but Evie seems to be having difficulties sleeping lately and seems to be waking up a lot through the night. She is a very jiffly sleeper and moves a lot so when she's in out bed with us, she moves so much I can never get back to sleep.

Whilst the girls are both asleep I take the opportunity to read through a lot of steem posts from my feed and there are some very interesting posts. There is also a lot of curators who I'm finding out are extremely good at writing and I feel I'm learning a lot from their material. If anyone has any other suggestions for me to read then please let me know in the comments below.

~ 07.25 am ~

I've come downstairs with Evie to give her breakfast whilst Soph has a few more hours asleep. I'm actually going to have breakfast this morning as I need to get myself back onto a better eating pattern. Evie is having her porridge which she seems to really enjoy every morning with a little bit of fruit after whilst I'm having a bowl of chocolate hoops cereal. It is so strange how good how much better it makes you feel having breakfast in the mornings and sets you off on the right track in the day.

Breakfast has all gone down well and we are ready for the day ahead. Time for some time playing with all Evie's new toys she got for her birthday. She seems to love playing with her kitchen set and she seems to already know what too do with it. It seems to me she is trying to cook me breakfast after watching me sort hers out this morning.

One of Evie's presents she got for her birthday was a little kiddies camera and it looks like we may have the new upcoming vlogger learning the trade already. Guys and girls, trust me she is one to watch for the future. @dtube watch out, you have a new vlogger aiming for number 1 ;).

~ 10.05 am ~

Sophie has just dropped Evie off round her sisters for a couple of hours so we can give the house a quick clean and also one big task, sorting out all of her old toys and deciding what needs to be binned and what needs to go up into the loft. All this whilst trying to stay festive listening to a selection of Christmas songs, wearing my Christmas jumper for the first time this year and wearing a Santa hat.

I do like the Christmas decorations being up and it does make the lounge look so cosy but there are far too many presents under the tree right now that I cannot wait for them to all be gone and opened. On a side not from that, I don't no where all of the presents Evie gets are going to go as her toy room is sorted out and still it is full.

~ 12.38 pm ~

Time for a quick bite to eat before we head out to do our afternoon plans. A quick bowl of tomato soup with some buttered bread. The soup does not taste right at all and the tin has been out in the bin so I don't know if it's out of date or not but that is not nice. I suppose I've eaten most of the bowl so at least lunch is sorted. Now it's time for us to go pick littleun up ready for a little surprise for her.

~ 13.42 pm ~

We have Evie and the surprise for her is going to see Santa for the first time, we are just in the queue now waiting too see him and she is so excited. I hope she likes Santa and doesn't cry.

Well it looks like she is enjoying herself with Santa so far.

Not so happy now she is on Santas knee.

Well that's an experience that hopefully this time next year will go down a bit better. Time to head home, put some Christmas telly on and chill out before dinner.

~ 14.41 pm ~

We are home and Evie is asleep having he afternoon nap so what better time to put on my favourite Christmas special ever.

The Gavin and Stacey Christmas special makes me so festive and makes me smile the whole way through. The part where Smithy and Gavin are on the phone singing 'Do They Know It's Christmas Time At All' is so good and so much like the whole population of us out there.nit is something I watch routinely every year around this time of the year and I love it. I would recommend it if your not feeling that festive yet.

Now as its Christmas I think it's time to get me and Soph a little drink and today I fancy a small glass of port.

~ 18.16 pm ~

It's bedtime for Evie but not before a quick book read by myself to Evie.

She really loves the time when we read her books and I hope in the long run it will make a difference to her in the future. I want her to have the best chance from a young age and I hope we can teach her well.

~ 20.55 pm ~

Ok I'm about to watch the new 'A League Of Their Own' Christmas special with a few crisps and a gin and tonic as Sophie has gone too bed feeling unwell, hopefully she's better tomorrow.

Ok guys, I'm going to end today's blog here so I can finish the blog edit and enjoy the Christmas special.
