서울에서 일을 보고 KTX를 타고 내려오는 길에 친한 지인으로부터 문자가 왔다. 부친상을 당했다고...
집에 도착하자마자 옷을 갈아입고 운전대를 잡았다. 3년 전 어머니가 돌아가셨을 때 직접 운구를 해주었기에 그 은혜를 간직하고 있었다.
주변에 어르신들이 종종 상을 당했다는 이야기를 적지 않게 듣곤 한다. 나도 언젠가는...
삶에 대해 다시 한번 생각하게 된다.
