Some Important tips/steps , by following which you can grow and earn faster....
At Start Dont think about Earning especially Huge Earnings
GO to Home Tab...then Open Heartily comment and upvote to all those posts to which u Like.....
Dont Be selfish at all..... Just upvote....U will see sooner u will also b upvoted....its all give n take
Start following people to whom you like.......u see ur follower also will increase
Upload profile Photo (DP)
updates profile by Describing in few words ....what u r and what u looking for ?
Just create Interesting and unique Posts n blogs
Avoid Plagiarism n respect others copyrights
Avoid non-ethical n Immoral posts
Avoid spreading Hatred on name of religion, nationalism, race , gender or any other conflicts...
The first Tag is your main Category so choose wisely
Choose all Right n Relevant Tags
Those who Follow...must Follow them back to strengthen the Relations
Resteem the best n worthy Posts as it will give u n ur posts a Big Exposure
Maintain Level of Upvoting power at 80% ....only above u upvote....check ur voting power at) https://steemd.com/@(write ur username here)
anybody who follows or upvote u ...honour it n follow him and upvote his/her post as a good jesture in return
NEVER BEG for UPVOTE or FOLLOW.... Be Honourable...just let the others decide

Upvoted and followed. I agree content should be from the heart...not just for the purpose of "how can I make the most money". I feel that if someone starts by posting content that they are passionate about and interacts with others by commenting and upvoting and resteeming, they will be rewarded in due time.
A wise man once told me "patience is a virtue, be virtuous." This definitely applies here. Be patient, humble, and do the right things (many of which you've listed) and you'll be rewarded in due time as others will reciprocate once you give them some attention. It really is a two way street as you have to interact with people to get noticed unless you really find a good niche right off the bat.
