Good morning Steemit

It is windy today!

Windy and rainy.

We have a little birds nest under our roof, so every now and then, I hear little birdies chirping. Besides that, all I hear is wind and rain today.

I've got a bit of a headache and am still a bit tired, but overall, I feel a little better than I did yesterday. I was even more tired and light headed yesterday. I basically sat on the couch most of the day and watched the cooking channel. Didn't really get inspired though, but that's okay. I slept well last night without the stomach ache, so that's good!

This morning, I made pear ice cream pops. I had two pears lying around for over a week now, waiting for them to soften up. I was finally done waiting and cut them up, even if they didn't feel much softer yet. They smelled sweet enough though, so I think it'll be a nice treat! I still have another ice cream idea, but I have to wait for the pear ones to be gone first. I only have 6 popsicle shapes to use. Guess we have to hurry up and eat them quickly, what a shame huh?

Today, we'll eat at my boyfriend's dad again, together with his sister, brother in law and their little kid. It's a weekly thing they do and now that we live right next to him, we get invited aswell, yum!

For tomorrow, we invited my boyfriend's dad over for dinner with us. I'm still not too comfortable in a kitchen that doesn't hold most of my stuff, but it's okay. I'm going to make my zucchini dish (click here for the recipe), which basically just has me cutting up a lot of stuff. Okay, I need to heat up some things aswell, but we have a wok pan. The only interesting thing will be the oven, but I'll just let it sit in the oven for a bit longer than usual and it should be fine. Gonna make my mango avocado salad (click here for the recipe) to go with this, because one oven dish won't be enough for three of us. We usually finish the dish just the two of us.

The bad weather will stay for the forseeable future, so I don't feel like going outside much. Haven't practiced archery since sunday, but it's just not very tempting with rain and wind!

In other news:

How does someone who spams useless comment and copy/pastes them earn a reputation of 53 already? This guy has certainly benefited from these actions, or atleast he hasn't pissed anyone off enough to lower his reputation. I guess the few normal replies off-set the balance... Does that feel right to you?

P.S.: You can grab some free ICO ATS tokens through my referal link here with you Eth wallet address.

Oh my gosh, those were announcements inbetween the rest of my story. It's like a commercial break or something! As you can see, I made a friend again yesterday, how fun! Apparently, he thinks that a few normal comments make the rest of his spamming activities totally okay. Good on him. Now that I know he's been here for over a year, the 53 reputation doesn't seem so high anymore, so I shouldn't pay it any more attention.

I'm still flagging all of the copy/paste comments on my blogs though!

Bah, sometimes, when the wind gets very heavy, the cabin creaks everywhere! It's a little scary, but I just have to remember this place has been standing for years and it's just what happens with wooden structures. The wind is just very heavy today (for Dutch standards).

It's funny, we saw an episode of Myth Busters once, where they were testing out earthquakes on buildings I think it was... Anyway, they were talking about the 'modern' wood houses in the US and the not-so-modern stone houses in Europe and that just made us laugh. How is a house made of wood more modern than one made of brick? It's certainly not more resilient. I wonder what the idea behind that was.

Don't get me wrong, I like this cabin and I like that we get to live here for a while, but at some point, I'd love to get a sturdy, brick house again, like most European houses. It just feels more... permanent and safe, you know?

Anyway, enough rambling for today.

Have a good day!

Fair warning: Copy/paste comment and obvious bot comments will get flagged.

Sort:

I think ignoring the copy paste comments works just as much as flagging them, they don't even notice if you flag and you might as well use that vp to upvote someone worthy.

You do get a lot of them, seems like more than a lot of people, maybe flagging just encourages them ;-P

Hmmm could that be it? You know what it is, I know some people upvote the stupid copy/paste comments, meaning that slowly, their reputation will increase from those small upvotes. Now if I throw in a flag, that will decrease their reputation somewhat, which makes me feel a lot better than just ignoring them :-)

I sometimes comment on them aswell, which I hope will educate one or two persons. Maybe not, but atleast no one can say I did nothing while the morons took over :D

third pic is littlebit spooky :D

Haha, it was taken early morning when there was still quite a bit of mist. It helped set the atmosphere :D

I think that pic is really pleasant to look at 😊

Aww thank you! I'm glad you like it :-)

Still wasn't sure from the start if it was a fiction or not, till you mentioned going to your boyfriend's dad place. smilesNice story! It was an enjoyable read. I also trying to write. So might have to follow you now and get to check your blog daily.. Thanks

Aww, I'll definitely take that as a compliment, thank you very much! The best advice I can give you for writing is to just do it. Practice a lot! It's why I'm writing a morning post every day. It helps me clear my mind and it helps me to improve on my writing skills. I'm wishing you good luck on your Steemit journey!

I didnt received anything, am I just supposed to sign up then receive something?

Thanks. As promised in my post (which you would have known, would you have actually read it), I'm flagging your copy/paste comment.

I'm sorry that you consider this message a copy. I'm not a bot that deals with mailing. I am a real person who leaves the message data.

That might be, but it is still a copy/paste message, since you leave this very same message on many posts:

You are also simply self-promoting through the comment and not contributing anything useful to the posts. This annoys a lot of people and will earn you flags from a few (like me). I'd suggest you leave meaningful messages on posts after reading them instead.

Don't leave a generic message when you don't actually read a post. And definitely don't self-promote through a comment without contributing anything. It won't help your reputation in the long run.

I notify a person that I voted for him.

And then continue to self-promote. Why would you vote on a post you didn't read? How can you know the post deserves a vote?

Call me crazy, but I'm one of those people who only votes on good content. I'm also one of those people who prefers to only receive votes from people that enjoy my content. And I also enjoy receiving engaging comments.

What am I supposed to do with a notification that you upvoted me? I can see that in the list of voters. Steemstats.com shows them all. An upvote is nice and all, but a hollow gesture if you didn't read my post and if the only real purpose of your comment is to then self-advertise.

My blog's comment section is no advertisement space.
