Photocircle "Rewards Revamp!"

Over the course of 12 months curating for the photography community, we have been finding ways to reward the featured photographers to our blog, in addition to the upvotes that we provide. It is for a simple reason that when we started this journey, we have virtually 0 SP. And so after funding the @photocircle account with SP delegations, we also reserved a small amount of liquid steem that we gave away each day as an additional incentive.

With the emergence of upvote services like Steem Basic income and paid voting services like @tipu, which we tested for a few months, we think that the use of @tipu voting service towards the featured photographer's post is much more motivating. And so we kept it until this date.

You might have guessed it right, we will stop the use of @tipu's voting towards the winners, because we found a better option. So, in addition to the @photocircle upvote, the winning / featured photographers will now receive:

TPU tokens!

For those who haven't heared about it, it's a token created using Steem Engine (www.steemengine.com), a platform linked to the steem blockchain where anyone can create their own token much like how SMT would work. The TPU tokens was initiated by @cardboard (operator or founder of @tipu). By holding TPU tokens, a holder will be entitled with a daily profit sharing that will come from the upvote service by @tipu. Let's set aside the technicalities and discuss how will it benefit the contributors to the Photocircle curation program. As mentioned, receiving of TPU tokens is a part of the rewards that we giveaway everyday, and we think it will benefit you in this manner:

Long Term Benefit
If the receiver of TPU tokens decided to hold it (Steem Engine wallet), the holder/bearer of TPU tokens will receive a daily profit share from @tipu. There is also a possibility that TPU tokens will gain more value which was explained diligently through this post.

 

Short Term Use
The bearer of TPU tokens will be able to use the token in 2 simple ways.

• First, it can be used to purchased a vote from @tipu.
• Secondly, the TPU tokens can be sold to Steem using the Steem Engine market which could be converted to SP by powering-up or be sold to exchanges to be cashed-out.

The message that we are trying to convey with this post is that we are providing the flexibility of rewards for the winning photographers to our daily contests. And we found this flexibility with the use of TPU tokens by @tipu and with the added benefits mentioned above.

Hold on, it doesn't end their, we won't call this post "Rewards Revamp" if there is no added value to it.
