Jane Travels: Toronto

As a city girl, I have always wanted to see what Toronto was like. I was born and raised in NYC, so skyscrapers, traffic, lights, and people don't phase me. When I was finally in Toronto after driving an hour and a half from Niagara Falls, I was surprised by how big it was. The noise level was tolerable, compared to Manhattan where sirens and horns are heard everywhere. Toronto was friendlier, happier, calmer and more patient. I thoroughly enjoyed the few hours we spent, until we got a ticket. As someone who has been driving in NY her whole life, I should of known to quadruple check the parking rules before we parked, whoops. One of my favorite things was the architecture of the city, definitely a must see.

Nathan Phillips Square Park

We checked out the Toronto sign in Nathan Phillips Square as per recommendation of @goldmatters. I don't regret going at all, I loved the colors, and the people skating. Although I couldn't get a clear shot of the sign because of the skaters and people with selfie sticks, I'm pleased with how the photos came out. It was a cloudy day which made it great for moody shots.

Graffiti Alley

We got exposed to Graffiti Alley by a youtuber, Chris Hou. If you look up the tag you're going to find so many amazing shots in this alley of Toronto. I felt like Jessica Jones. I also posted a steep shot yesterday, you can check it out here.

Goldmoney

I also got to visit the Goldmoney Toronto branch. It was a great experience talking about @goldmoney-inc with @par-ee as per recommendation of @goldmatters, again! I made an entire post about Goldmoney, who they are and what they have to offer, you can find it here.

Woody's Burgers

We all know that spending the day walking around the city, taking pictures, making videos can get tiresome and works u an appetite. We just drove and kind of bummed into this place on our way back to our hotel, still located in Toronto though. I didn't take a picture of my food because I was so hungry but I ordered the Bistro Mushroom Burger, it was really a great meal.

Overall I had a great time in Toronto, if you're driving in just make sure you check where you park. I would suggest going to a lot and parking your car and then just exploring on foot! I wish I would of gotten on the above ground train to see what it was like. However, I have a lifetime left of exploring.

Thanks for joining me,
Jane ❤️

Haha, this isn't amateur at all! Its a great shot and I'm slightly jealous that you got the reflection of the Toronto sign on the lake!

It looks really cool at night too :)

I could tell from the picture @goldismoney posted!

Great to read a positive experience in my city, of course minus the parking ticket. Graffiti Alley, Goldmoney and the Toronto sign. Three great places to check out!

Thats beautiful at night during the holidays wow! And you're also from Toronto?? How is it like living there?
I'm almost considering a move.

I love that sign at night too and with over 228 million color combinations it can always have a new look. ( I even wrote a Steemit blog about the Toronto sign https://steemit.com/steemit/@goldismoney/has-your-city-recognized-the-branding-value-of-a-3d-city-name-photo-op-sign and when @goldmatters first visited Toronto I had told him it is a must see and happy to read he passed that on to you too! ) Yes I am from Toronto living roughly between the Toronto sign and Graffiti Alley. I do love living in Toronto, so many fun places to see, and go, great retaurants, endless events and most people are very friendly. If you come back during the summer time a must see visit is Toronto Islands. You can take a water taxi from Toronto harbor over to the islands for $10. It makes a fun day over on the islands. Happy to read you enjoyed your trip here.

Im glad to know that you love it! Thanks for the tip hopefully I can go back sometime soon and spend more time there. If im looking for other cool things to do I definitely know who to reach out to. Thank you!
