Making a dificult decision
This morning I have made the dificult decision of quitting my tour guiding job, there are many reasons for making this drastic change and I hope that I have made the right choice. I am not well as some of you know and maybe making some changes in my life will help to get me out of this depressed state. I very much liked what I did for the most part and this would have been my third season but end of the day how things have changed affects what I earn and the enjoyment that I received out of my work. I have a few options at the moment as work is concerned I speak fluent German, English have great people skills and extensive knowledge in diferent aspects of the turism industry here in Mallorca. Being depressed and unhappy sometimes makes us make drastic decisions that sometimes turn out to be mistakes but I hope that this is not the case. If I had it my way I would become a cryptocurrency lecturer or consultant but that kind of demand is not yet aparent in these parts of the world. After having spoke to quite a few people about this and listening to personal experiences regarding drastic changes in hard times I feel that this is a step forward. Maybe you can give me some personal insight regarding this?

Mentally I think you need a new challenge. This is perhaps the change you need. Everything else changed in your life so this is possibly the best thing that you could do for yourself. You have a whole new life waiting for you...I wish you well!

Thanks for sharing, I read the whole story. You know what? I did the same in december last year. Never quit a job out of the blue, and than it happend. Felt not strong at that point, but now; a few months later. I am on top of the world. Just wish you the best, and I totally agree with @lenatramper. This choice will open new doors. Try to keep your head up. There is hope and in a while you will experience this was the right decision to make :). Hang in there.
This is the kind of positive inspiration I need right now, I dont like the decision I made and it took me several days of serious consideration. But some big changes in my life appear to be the only way to move forward and regain myself. Thanks so much for your supportive comment @pinkielady

I'm sure this will be a positive move for you. We call depression the black dog. Sometimes it just smothers you. I hope that your path will light up before you now.

I have battles with my own Deamons and know that support of like minded people is so important to having the strength to face each day.

I'm a big believer in letting something go if you find a better opportunity. I've seen people who saw a huge opportunity and took the leap without any regret at all. I've also seen people just quit without anything lined up and felt regret (as well as ended up in the same industry again). Stay awesome and remember that depression is your mind's way of telling you that there's an improvement (or two) that you need to make; take the feedback - it's powerful.
