Why I constantly write even if it's a cent's away
People say I probably shouldn't rush in my writing but hey, I do what I please !
There are 3 reasons of why I keep writing day to day :
- It's a way for me to express my ideas
I am not good at speaking out directly about my feelings,thoughts or ideas. I am the mastermind behind every project but I let people do the public speaking and the marketing. I take less credit for everything but I didn't mind. I am more than happy when my ideas are implemented. I like working behind the screen although, I grow up with numerous experience on public speaking, As I grow up, I lost my confidence and I haven't managed to find it back.
- It's my self coping mechanism
Oftentimes I write spontaneously concerning to my current state of feelings and mind. It made me feel relaxed as I write down things which bothers me. I didn't turn into drugs but I turned into writing which has saved me in my most volatile days. I can simply write " fuck" thousands times in a paper and I would laugh off to it as I am getting sane.
- It's a way for me to leave a legacy
I don't want to be forgotten, I want to be remembered for things I did. The least I could do is through my writings. Writing in a blockchain is perfect. It stays, as long as the system running perfectly. I'll look back in the next 5 years when I'll turn 25 and I'd probably laugh off to my old writings. In fact, I am laughing off to my childhood diary and poetry as it was a manifestation of things I used to want and now I have it all. Writing made me believe that at one point or another, we'll reach our dream eventually.
I keep on writing day to day, hours to hours, minutes to minutes speaking out flowing ideas inside my mind although I often write about me and my feelings. I am feeling kind of self centered at some point but I'd definitely love to expand my writings into more educative tones.
Writing is something natural for me. There's some sort of excitement whenever I am writing and knowing that probably some strangers would read it. English is not my native language, I don't even know what my native language is as I've been speaking numerous language since I was a child. However, I do speak a common tongue but slightly broken with a whole lot of mistakes. I'd love to call myself a lazy polyglot because basically I know several languages but I am too lazy to ever dive in.
All in all, writing is not always about cent's it's about a spoken ideas, releasing stress and leaving a legacy to especially my closest ones.

I sometimes see writing as similar to sculpture - it is a science and an art and a craft. But mainly, it is therapy!

Excellent post that really resonates as to why people write and express their ideas, not for a monetary benefit but as a way to connect, share and even understand yourself better.
@locikll I am glad you enjoyed reading it. Imo, earning from writing is a bonus unless we started going on commercial industry where there are so many demands and deadline to meet but I am not that kind of writer 😊. Nice to see a new reader on my post !
Sharing feelings through writing is not a easy task for all. It may be right or wrong according to you... But in my view it is not a so much easy mechanism.. But your post are very impressive to me.. As it like u have expressed my own feelings also.. Thanks a lot.

Wow, I can totally relate to this post. I try to write everyday because it helps me escape my own head. There is a lot going on in there and writing about things just makes it easier and makes space for other things. I love the way you've explained it here.
Yeah, It's a good way to cope up and as means of escaping whatever in our head!

I'm not a native English speaker either, but I getting more and more used to writing in English and I hope that I improve my skills:-)
I must say writing is much better than drugs, but I can see what you mean. Great you can write whenever you like to, it's sort of free to do, doesn't cost anything. And I think it improve your health which drugs doesn't.
@kerlund74 Practice makes it better. I always believe that. Oftentimes, When I can't find words to express, I'd just stop for a while, going outside and read some books to find an inspiration.
I think it's the cheapest way to cope and ofcourse less harmful unless someone is restricting our freedom of speech which then could make it complicated.

I feel really related to this, most of the times with "It's my self coping mechanism" I can see how I adjust my writing with my humor, and how good it feels to let all go out. is great to know someone feeling the same ways as writing, great post @macchiata. And nothing better than a good coffee and steemit all night.
