A quick update..and a thank you.

Firstly, thanks to everyone for wishing Sophie and Kranporm the best!! It meant a lot.

(this is the closest pronunciation, in English, of my granddaughter's name)

Sophie is still alive...but seems just as ill. She still isn't eating, but that's not a crisis in itself.
She's just listless, and sleeping.
Time will tell, and all that.
I did bring her back to my place, but she insists on being under some particular steps for some reason -probably related to her kittens, but they are nowhere to be seen.

After the second attempt to let her sleep on my porch, she was too exhausted to make it back to where she wanted to be, so I ended up carrying her back there...It's only 15 yards from me, so not a problem.

I've just gone to check on her. (early morning here), and she is still alive, and in the same place..
If it is venom of some kind, and she has survived this long, maybe just a matter of time for it to metabolize out...? (I don't have a clue what I'm talking about, btw).

Kranporm is in bed and sweating a lot! She's hooked up to some saline, so she doesn't get too dehydrated.
The Doctor and nurses seem to think everything is ok with her, and they would probably know - seeing as the whole place is currently dengue fever central.

There are masses of people getting bit by mozzies at the moment - the hospital is full of 'em!

She's not causing any mayhem or annoying anyone, so she must be feeling pretty poorly.
I have no idea how long she will be in hospital.

We will know she is feeling better when they call us, begging us to come and pick her up!
(she'll be running around the wards, pulling drips out of patients, for a laugh or something, when she's feeling better...)
