Home-made crispy calamari [Freshly caught cuttlefish]
Hi everyone. I'm sharing with you my recipe of crispy calamari and how I catch those cuttlefish when I go fishing..
Here is a picture of the 4 cuttlefishes I caught this Saturday when I went fishing with my friends..
Cuttlefish is also known as Calamari..
So i catch them using this bait below by the casting method.. You simply throw the bait far in the water and draw the line slowly to make it appear as if the bait is moving in the water(alive)
You have to clean them and take their skin off which can be done very easily. I read everything on Google.. After cleaning, you get this..
The white cones are what we eat. I like cutting them into ring-shapes.. You can also cut them into long strips..
Then you take the rings and put in some salt, pepper and garlic paste and let it sit for an hour..
After an hour,
- break an egg into a small bowl..
- Mix flour and corn starch in a 50/50 potion in another bowl.. Also add a little bit of salt to taste.. [Paprika is an option]
- Put the rings one by one, first in the powder made, then into the egg, then again to the powder..
- Let sit for 10 minutes then fry in hot oil..
