Shine Bright

Aloha Steemians!

The picture that I painted is of a woman that has a gold aura around her--the glory of God.  It is shining so brightly upon the earth that many people are drawn to her.  They are drawn by the love--by the presence of God.  

These people are coming from all different places, from near and far.  They are of all races, colors and cultures coming to see this glory.  

Some of these people have had very hard lives, others have had easier lives; but the one thing they have in common is that their hearts are seeking something.  

They are not sure what this something is.  They just know that it something that no person, thing, or activity has been able to do for them. They have tried the self-help books, the support groups, the drugs and alcohol and much more.  They have spent their lives immersing themselves in their work, education, families, entertainment and the like. Each time they have the same result--a temporary fix or high; but at the end of the day, the void is still there, the hurt is still there, the pain is still there. 

As they are drawn to this bright, glorious light, this woman has.  They get nearer to her and feel the love that is pouring out of her like rivers of living water.  As they come even closer, they feel a peace that they have never known before.  This peace washed away the worry and fear they felt just a moment ago, as if a waterfall poured over their hearts and minds. 

What is this? This peace, this love--it is so different from anything we've ever experienced before. 

They know that there is something very different about her--something authentic, something supernatural.  

They are teeming with questions, but the one question that supersedes them all is.  How can I have what you have? 

With loving eyes, she looks at them, and begins to explain how easy it is have what she has.  

To have this glory, to have this love, you only have to believe!

Believe in what?

Believe in Jesus! Believe that God sent him to Earth for you to have this peace and love that you so long to have. Believe that he came to save you.

That sounds too easy!  

I know it sounds easy, but that is truly how simple it is. 

They began to think to themselves.  

If we do this and nothing happens what will we have lost? A breath and some words.  But if she is right, our destiny will be changed forever.

They realized they didn't have anything to lose, but everything to gain.  They made the decision to accept Jesus into their hearts and receive the glory of God. 

A new life began for them, one that superseded what they had before.  It was a life that was not perfect; yet they progressed daily, as they talked to God and allowed him to work in their lives.
