Take a snap of your dinner!
To enter the contest, steemians are asked to take a photo of their dinner. I saw this post last night after dinner, so I reminded myself to 'snap' a photo of dinner tonight.
We visited the farmer's market today, so it's extra veggies tonight.
- Steak tips
- roasted green beans in garlic, lemon juice and salt and pepper.
- corn on the cob (locally grown)
- soft carrots tossed with garlic, butter and dill from our herb garden
- Caprese Salad: tomatoes and cheese tossed with garlic, balsamic vinegar, olive oil and basil (from our herb garden)
It's a simple meal and a little heavier on the veggies than usual. Very enjoyable. We even had left-overs that @lturner will make into other meals. She's planning on using the left over corn for soup, and the left over steak as a nice lunch tomorrow.
Cupcakes tonight for a treat.
Lot's of sweets at the farmer's market. Inspires us to make something in the kitchen.
We saw 'cupcake pops' at the farmer's market today. They were expensive, but making our own cupcakes is not. So tonight we are making homemade cupcakes. Vanilla almond cupcakes with raspberry frosting.
My girls are learning how to bake from an expert. If @lturner wasn't a overtime-mom, she'd take over the baking industry. But her talent is spent where it's best for everyone.
So that was our evening.

We picked some fresh green beans and cucumbers from our garden and ate some of those tonight. Nothing like a fresh cucumber!
We really enjoy fresh vegetables in this house. We just discovered the farmer's market a few weeks ago. Way better than the produce at the grocery store. @ironshield
