Avoiding Political Discourse: The Road so Far

Well if you bother to check out my blog every now and then, you'd notice quite a drastic change from what I often write about.

At the beginning of my journey with steem, I wrote about issues I felt people needed to be more aware of, ranging from politics, wars, to social justice.

Fast forward to this day and things are a bit more simplistic for me. I rarely discuss those issues and now try to bring out the really bad creative side of me.

So what changed? In case you were wondering. Well it's still me, but I guess I came to the realization that those issues, no matter how passionately talked about here, had little to no impact in the grand scheme of things. Like I wish all my blogs about wars, actually brought people to the realization of just how much damage we've brought upon ourselves.

But more importantly, I stopped because such blogs were beginning to affect me on a personal level. Having gone through some not so good stuff over the last couple of months, they were only adding to my dismay with humanity.

Of course I still believe these issues need to be addressed, one way or another. While I hope that someday the pen will indeed be mightier than the sword, I can only risk going down that road again for issues I believe my voice can truly make a difference with.
