Progress Report - February 2018

in #blog6 years ago

I post a progress report showing what I did and how my products performed each month.
Last month's report can be seen here.

What did I do

Productive Hours in February

I worked 37 productive hours. (Tracked using RescueTime.)
I started watching several new TV shows like Kevin Probably Saves The World, Devilman Crybaby, Blood Drive, but I wasn't really hooked and I didn't continue watching.

I didn't finish any new books.

There was a lot going on and I couldn't focus as much on my side projects as I wanted to. Still, I was able to finish my Steem Remind.Bot Project. Go ahead and use it! March should be a more distraction-free month again.

Apps

Downloads

Total downloads of all my apps increased drastically to 990 this month. Back down roughly 200 downloads again from the January record month.

In-App Purchases

In-app Purchases are currently at only 4 orders. (+1)

I made an estimated 13.65€ (+3.41€) this way.

Ad Revenue

My ad revenue stayed at 56.65€ (-2.02€) for 76,246 (!) Google AdMob banner impressions.

App Income AdMob

Total App Income

In total, this month's app income was 70.30€ (+1.39€).

Website Traffic

I'm proud that I still stuck to my bi-weekly post schedule:

  1. How to access Google Spreadsheets with Node
  2. Differences in Defining ES6 Class Methods
  3. Creating a Remind-Me bot for Steem

Subscribers

My twitter followers increased by 18 to 234.

What's next

I 'll be developing and releasing my first DAPP for EOS. 👌 Stay tuned. I'll live-stream some parts again.

Nice progress.

The app business is tough to get right. I once had 40 apps in the Apple app store and had only one success. If you do not have a funnel into the app store, it will be hard to increase the downloads. It is all about visibility. You can have the best app in the world, if too few people see it, you will not make money. Are you working on a sales funnel?

What DAPP for EOS are you working on? Curious :)

Yes, I gave up on apps in the App store. I just leave them there, but don't even update them anymore. It's too time-consuming and I 'd rather work on something else for now.

I'll build something similar to King of the Ether, but with a better UI, to get started with EOS.

I have quite a few of these smaller project ideas in mind for EOS that I want to build :)
