[Steps to KNOWLEDGE] #4 I WANT WHAT I THINK I KNOW.
You want what you think you know, and this is what constitutes the basis of your understanding of yourself and your world. In fact, this constitutes the basis of your whole identity. You will find, however, upon honest examination that your understanding is based upon assumptions primarily, and these assumptions have not been founded upon your experience to a very great degree, if at all.
Today in your three brief practice periods, in which you devote your total attention to examining your assumptions, think about the things you really think you know, including things that you have not thought to question before—things that you think you know. Today’s exercise, then, carries forth from the previous steps where you begin to see the difference between what you think you know and real Knowledge itself and the relationship between what you think of as Knowledge and your own assumptions, beliefs and hopes for things.
Therefore, in each practice session it is very essential for you to think about the things you think you know. When you realize they are based primarily upon your assumptions, you will realize how weak is your foundation in the world. Understanding this may be upsetting and disconcerting, but it is absolutely essential for you to give you the impetus and the desire to discover your true foundation in the world.
Practice 4: Three 10-minute practice periods.
What I formerly wrote about this, on 14/07/2015:
I'm basically with little to no Knowledge to what this Existence is about.
I think I know about the Universe, but I don't yet.
Chackras, Worlds beyound physical, Divine spark, all assumptions, All beliefs still.
What I presently, 17/12/2017, Think of Knowledge to be:
Morning Practice
This is after spending an saturday night outside and having drank quite a bit
skipped(sleeping)
Afternoon Practice
skipped(sleeping)
Evening Practice (19:15)
I assume that there is an external world.
I sometime assume that I'm consciously Praying the right way.
I assume that I know what I want to do with My Life.
I assume that what I want to do with my Life is One and the same with my greater calling in Life, with that which I'm meant to do.
18/12/2017 | 07:55 | On the 4th Step
I sometime assume that I'm an Individual separated from all other Individuals of which the human race is comprised.
I sometime assume that I AM and feel like my life is more than a robotical existence that is following a certain schedule.
I assume that as long as I AM not hurting anyone else, I can use and do whatever I feel like doing with my own Individual body.
General Perspective
Sunday, 17/12/2017, the day of this Step, was pretty all over the place. I feel like I haven't done it properly, but I guess that that's a part of growing up too. The fact is that I went outside Saturday night and came home Sunday morning, being a little more than buzzed, in a sense. And that's what made me shift the Importance that I normally give to each Step to something else, like sleeping and what not.
This STEP is designed to get us out of the Beliefs Comfort Zone so that we may shine Light (Awareness) upon those beliefs, until we see which ones remain True and which ones were illusions and fade away before the Light which our Consciousness is.
I believe to have done that for a long time, still doing it, since I do not identify myself with the general beliefs that are in our Human Collective Conscious anymore.
