THE INSANITY OF NORMAL

Krishnamurti said: "It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society." I agree. Things that are considered normal are often quite insane, so if you're considered "weird" or "abnormal," maybe that's just your authentic soul gasping for air, drowning in the turbulent waters of routine insanity. We are taught that being phony is just a mask we have to wear to earn money and we should "fake it to make it!" We trade in our unique, vibrant, creative souls for worthless paper. Think back to the last truly authentic conversation you had at work. How often does THAT happen?

Let me give you an example. War is essentially murdering people you disagree with. And, just to add insult to injury, the winning party will steal the resources of the losing party directly after murdering them. We make it into an "honorable" ceremony with patches and rewards and metals and patriotism. But it's really just following immoral, deeply insane orders, while routinely killing people that have been deemed subhuman. They are "the other" or somehow "less than." The human ego is so fearful and fragile that you must murder the competition. Of course! War is normal. Being against said murder is just "unpatriotic." Insert flag waving here.

Soldiers that feel PTSD are just expressing their authentic selves. They are conveying a perfectly understandable cognitive dissonance, while questioning the purpose of their actions in the first place. But they are told essentially that they are mentally weak for feeling guilt or regret or human empathy. But maybe the weakness is a strength in actuality. And maybe allowing oneself to be programmed to follow immoral orders is a weakness, not some patriotic duty. Maybe that isn't "service" to humanity after all but the clinical insanity of normal.

People are mocked ruthlessly for believing aliens exist, but putting your faith in an invisible god you have never seen, and have zero evidence for, well that's totally normal. Just put some money on this shiny silver plate we pass around and you will get into heaven quicker. Makes PERFECT sense! I'm sure it's not a scam at all. Yeah, but even the possibility of aliens existing with millions of habitable planets out there? Insane!

We work our entire lives to be able to pay for a home we are never able to truly enjoy because we are always at work, away from the home we are constantly working for all our lives to afford, while driving around in a car we are making payments on, to afford the house we have to leave for most of every day in order to eat. Meanwhile, we pay a percentage of that work to the government who constantly makes things harder for us on purpose. But that's not slavery, no! That was just a dark chapter relegated to the distant past. This is called FREEDOM and it's totally normal.

We spend our whole lives trying to make people we can't stand, feel jealous of our perfect lives that don't exist on Facebook and Instagram, while keeping up with the Jones's, or should I say the Kardashians, who we never liked in the first place. We encourage young people to get into an endless cycle of debt and human slavery by going to college to learn a trade that will fund said slavery. We wake up, go to work, come home, eat, watch TV, go to sleep and repeat until we don't have the energy to do it anymore and die. That's just a normal life right?

We also encourage young men to leverage all their money and spend it on a worthless rock called a diamond, which proves how much you love a woman, because, why not! Kind of sounds like paying for affection but I'm sure that's normal. At least I'm pretty sure it is in most brothels.

Right when a young couple needs money and resources the most, to be able to survive and carve out a home for their family, you're supposed to spend 10 or 20 grand on a shiny little, losable ring. And while you're at it, throw a HUGE, unaffordable party where you spend another 10 or 20k (or way more) to buy food for a bunch of people you don't want to see, and then make a ceremony out of allowing the government to dictate the conditions of your relationship with your wife. Makes total sense. How could I even question such an institution? It's perfectly normal.

But searching for truth, or becoming an artist, that is nonsense according to most parents. They had to become programmed robots, now YOU must follow the same programming and continue this insane cycle by teaching it to YOUR children, and so on, and so on and so forth, forever into infinity. Don't worry about sinning and going to hell, you're already here folks!

Keeping a cancer causing, portable radio station in your pocket next to your genitals, which are more susceptible to microwave RF radiation than literally any other part of your body, totally normal. Deleting social media, turning off your phone or ditching it altogether, and returning to nature? You're a crazy luddite!

Fake news institutions, called mainstream media, literally read an approved script, dictated to them by the government, and then call an independent journalist blogging from home an extremist and a possible terrorist. Put them on that no fly list! Actually the government creates all the bad guys just like the writers at Marvel.

Need to take away more rights and make people MORE afraid than normal? Create Al-Qaeda. People are catching on? Create ISIS! That should tide us over for a while. If all else fails, blame the Russians. Like, a LOT.

Men getting passionate about other grown men who can barely formulate a correct English sentence, while playing a children's game and getting paid hundreds of millions of dollars while you work your slave job? Normal. Wear their name on your back like a high school girl wearing the varsity letterman's jacket of her boyfriend? OK, if that's your thing! Of COURSE these halfwit jocks are the people's champions, even though they got coddled from the time they were 12, told they were special, and treated as human currency, while often turning out to be mean spirited bullies. But no one cares about morality as long as you're winning!

But just remember, it's ALL worth it because playing a children's game is SO important in the grand scheme of things! Meanwhile, you can watch people on TV debate incessantly about who's the best, Jordan, Kobe or LeBron because it matters so deeply. Hour after hour of grown men debating which one of their bro-mantic celebrity crushes is better. Next on ESPN, "My Dad can beat up YOUR Dad!" It's a popular new show. Let's dedicate hundreds of hours of television to this mundane, base consciousness, egoic nonsense because THAT sounds productive.

So if you're feeling depressed, maybe just MAYBE you have a good reason for feeling that way. Maybe that is your authentic, unique, vibrant human soul trying to express itself in a world full of insane psychopaths and idiots! Just because the majority think something, that doesn't make it correct. Maybe rebels and nomads and renegades are the real heroes and people that go along to get along are really kind of empty shells. Meanwhile, save up so you can spend your money on Black Friday, where people stampede over each other to get a new flat screen TV, so they can return to their regularly scheduled "programming." Ain't life grand?!

If you want the truth, read science fiction. If you want fiction, read the news. Insane is normal and normal is totally, completely INSANE. Maybe if you take this blue pill, you'll forget about everything I just said, and everything will be right with the world again! Breathe in, breathe out, ahhhh, Ignorance is bliss.
