It's as if people have happily embraced serfdom again all the while exclaiming how free they are.

This is probably the most epic explanation I have seen yet and man, are you spot on. It is such a conundrum. I'm beginning to think perhaps sovereignty never did exist and we're all chasing unicorns .. but to me it's the one thing I want - it is the ultimate dream - so it has to be based on something real? right? I hope..
