Confusion about "Bike to Work Day"

in #blockcorp8 years ago (edited)

It seems there has been some confusion about bike to work day. This event was set up to encourage fitness among our employees (especially those (;゚(OO)゚) in the IT department!) by motivating everyone to ride their bike to work. There were even several interdepartmental raffles to give away bikes for this very occasion.

However, due to some confusion around the event we now have a bunch of ladies hanging out in the parking lot and in the lobby downstairs.

It seems the signs we had printed for the occasion had a slight error in the spelling of bike and may have confused just about everyone into taking a Dyke to Work today.

I've invited several of them to assist me in my office with some carpet laying, but most of them have nothing to do outside. If you brought a women-loving-woman to work please see that she is fed and watered. We will be piping K. D. Lang and Melissa Etheridge continuously through the PA system to make them feel welcomed and appreciated at Block Corp.

I'm Here... I'm Queer.... I'm going to take an early lunch today,

Now I know what funny is. Exciting business world. So much fun you can have with that! 'No Filter' emails to the Dilberts and OfficeSpace crew lol!

Hi Ruben,
Your coworkers are complaining again about your constant Office Space references and the Dilbert cartoons that you are nearly continuously printing out. I tried to mention the cost of toner you are wasting but you told me you'd expense it in your next TPS report and then just walked off petting your red stapler.
We've tried to be compassionate about this issue, but if you could reign in your quirkiness, that would be great.

Oh and remember: Next friday is Hawaiian Shirt day. So, you know, if you want to, go ahead and wear a Hawaiian shirt and jeans.

That would be great!

Hi Renee,

Ok I can take care of the Dilbert problem. I'm not sure tho what you mean in regards to "Your Quirkiness", as he has been in the stables the passed few days and well reigned-in by the hands and jockey.

BTW, if you are interested in seeing 'Your Quirkiness' in action, next Friday would be a good day to go out to the track, as Hawaiian shirt day means we won't have to go home and change after work. And that would be great.

Thanks! Hope you come out!

that was uproarious for me. I like how you used 'that would be great"
