@HappyDolphin🐬 checks on #MundaneArt

in #blockchainbi7 years ago

There is #mundaneart organised by @kus-knee and #whysocurious wonders who are the people who participated in the latest edition and how their posts are doing. So, @happydolphin extracted the data of the posts with #mundaneart tag and the votes of these posts. Then exported the results into 2 Excel files and loaded it to Power BI. I just wanted a snapshot of the data to work with so I didn’t make Power BI query #steemsql database directly. Anyway, the query could take a long time.

If filtered to look at data for posts from 4th February and there were 118 post in about 1.5 weeks. Interesting, the most number of posts was on the first day.

I clicked on the column in the bar chart for the first day and see who are the first movers.

I decided to focus on the table of users from 4th February and sort it by No. of Posts. Wow, 11 people busy with more than one posts of #mundaneart.

Then I sort it by Total Payout and one person, @oldtimer, has the highest. Even more than @kus-knee.

Next, sorting by Pending Payout, I’ll say even the highest will not likely be more than the highest paid out one.

Lastly, I sorted by number of votes and for the organiser @kus-knee has the highest number of votes. The next highest number of votes are 247 and 157. Coincidentally (?), 8 people had 247 votes and coincidentally (?), 5 people has 157 votes. (Head scratching)

I added a tab with the images from different authors with a date slicer which gives you an image grid of the images from posts that are within the selected date range. In this example, I decided to look at just the one date of late entrants and the first image.

There you have it. @happydolphin is happy to look at the data and check out on #mundaneart.

If you are interested in "touching" the Power BI report yourself, you can go to this link:

Note: Don’t worry. You won't break the report but I can’t guarantee it will be there forever.

If you do go play with the report, a few things you can try are:

  • Click on the header of the matrix table to see the data sort differently.
  • Click on an author in the matrix table and see how the chart change to present for that author.
  • Click on a month and see the data just for that month.
  • Click on a column in the chart to see how the matrix table of author post summary changes

Amazing brother .. i like your posting. Great for me.

Thanks for visting

Hay @happydolphin, nice report and example of how people can track projects.

I have considered sharing access to my reports but not sure if people woukd be interested. What r ur view stats like on powerbi services for report you share here on steemit?

I think it's useful for the organisers but I think the problem is some of them don't know where to start and how to approach. With this kind of demostration, I hope it triggers the mind somewhat to be more inquisitive about how things are and start thinking of questions to ask. So, by have interactive report that one can access I think it is the right direction. I 'm not sure if PowerBI can track unique visitors. I think not but it'lll be good to know
