Our current governmental models are indeed the pinnacle of civilization. However, there are issues and pressing matters that need to be dealt with to usher in the new age of governance. As the global population grows, the current states seem to encroach evermore on our fundamental liberties and freedoms with the prerogative that it will be safer for everyone.

If this model used to work with a particular kind of culture and population number that doesn’t mean it will work with the challenges of the 21st century as well. By incorporating the cutting edge technologies in our jurisdiction processes, we might stand a chance in the face of the upcoming challenges!

Bitnation: The governance of tomorrow!

A team of ambitious visionaries plans on creating a platform based on the blockchain technology where users can create a Decentralized Borderless Voluntary Nation or in short a DBVN. Platform users have successfully used all of these features since the platform’s inception in July 2014. The Bitnation ecosystem is currently based on the Ethereum blockchain to make use of the Smart Contracts feature, however, once the primary net is deployed Bitnation will be blockchain agnostic allowing the users to integrate it with the blockchain infrastructure of their choosing!

Pangea Arbitration Token (PAT)

Based on the popular ERC20 architecture the Pangea Arbitration Token will become the engine of the Pangea Jurisdiction. Utilizing the proof-of-reputation for citizens issued when a contract is created, completed or resolved a dispute attached to a contract. The critical feature of PAT is that it’s an algorithmic reputation token that’s based on arbitration performance rather than gaming theory instruments like purchasing power, attention or popularity.

Jurisdiction professionals will be able to offer their services on the Bitnation ecosystem to solve and create Smart Contracts, once completed they will automatically receive redeemable PAT tokens. Lucy, the proprietary AI system, will act as an overseer to the distribution of the reputation tokens thus ensuring an unparalleled level of platform security.

The total supply of tokens is 42 billion with 34% of this total sum to be sold in the ICO phase. An auction will be held on the 25th of March while the rest of the unsold tokens will be sold over a period of 24 months. 18% is allocated to the core contributors and founders, 14% reserved for future bounties and options and the platform citizens will earn the rest of the 34%.
