Your private key will unlock the coins you hodl on BOTH chains you just will need to download 2 wallets to access them. IF this event occurs I will be posting guides to walk you through it all! Just make sure you have your private keys for Bitcoin over the next 7 weeks!
it will unlock coins on both chains correct, but you wont be able to "Double" your coins. you will simply be able to choose which chain you want your coins in.
No I am sorry you are misinformed. Just like in Ethereum last year this time if you hodl 10 BTC now and it forks you will have 10 BTC and 10 NewBTC. You will have the SAME amount of coins you currently have on BOTH chains, you just will need to download a new wallet to access it. Your coins are not real they are simply signed cryptographic access into the blockchain via your private key(s). Please follow me I will be tracking this as we move forward and you will understand exactly what is going on.
Move all your funds to a wallet where you control the private key, in the case of a chain split you will be able to choose which chain you want your coins in.
examples of a wallet where you control the private key: Paper wallet, Trezor, Nano S
You can generate your own paper wallet at : https://bitcoinpaperwallet.com. before doing so watch a few tutorials on youtube,make sure you do it right and your funds are safe. Good luck.

That's not correct at all, your coins wont be on both chains it will be on 1 chain only. depending which chain your wallet supports.

You will have the funds on BOTH chains if you control the private key. This is EXACTLY what happened last year in Ethereum THUS Ethereum Classic ;)
