Alternate Internet: DAN - Decentralized Alternate Network

The Internet has become a basic need for today's human. As well as water to live, electricity to work, Internet to communicate. However, the current hardware platform of the Internet, centralized in large ISPs (Internet Service Providers) in charge of large telecommunications companies, allows those who own the cable to impose the rules as they want when offering its services.

Now the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), a United States Congress agency, has voted to overthrow a law that, precisely, prevented cable owners from imposing their rules arbitrarily on services of telecommunications and even more to the Internet services. Governments have realized that the Internet is free information and information is power, the democratization of information is to deliver power to people and take it away from governments. An example of this is the blockchain technology that allows to create autonomous, self-governed organizations and even with their own currency for trade. Now governments are beginning to take desperate measures to stop this transfer of power, at any cost. The first one is closing the way to free information and by law handing over the total power to the big telecommunications companies with whom they, obviously have close relationships.

The information is free and for all, the network must be free and of all, so all of we must to work to make this a reality happen. Under this thought, I launch a daring proposal for an autonomous decentralized network, one alternative to cable Internet.

The decentralized network alternate DAN ( Decentralized Alternate Network ), is a network made up of the thousands of wireless routers that all Internet users have in their homes. The basic idea is that each Internet user places an open router that allows communication between routers in their local area. Many ideas like this have been proposed previously, even several networks in many countries have already been installed, however people are not motivated to participate because, there is a consumption of electricity which implies an economic expense and Internet can not be accessed directly.

But now there is Blockchain technology, through the adaptation of this technology, it could carry out a payment to people who share their router through a fee or commission, which overcomes the electric cost and financially supports the collaborator. So the consumer of before, will become a prosumer, means that they become a communications producer and consumer at the same time. As in the cryptocurrencies that work with the proof of stake protocols, proof of work, and as here in Steemit works with proof of brain, in these alternative networks would work with the proof of routing.

With this protocol could create autonomous decentralized organizations D.A.O, which carry out an administration of the communal networks. Like Steemit works, that allows a payment to those who place good content. Thus wealth is distributed among those who participate in the networks as routers, giving better scores and meritocracy tokens to those who provide a better service.

Gradually the networks will interconnect to make a huge network, which would be the decentralized alternate network, a network governed by its consumers and producers, with its own currency payment system, self-sustaining and totally free.
