In such case, there might be some challenges faced by AVs to bypass such route.
Autonomous vehicles are maned with laser and radar sensors placed both on the top and four sides of the vehicle. These sensors help it’s monitoring as it is used to calculate the distance between vehicles and other objects such as road bumps, road signs and so on. During heavy rain, these sensors can be affected, and they can be down or start giving wrong transmissions to the AV. This poses as a serious threat in the AV industry and DAV network is all about AV so anything that stands as a threat to the survival of AV is also a threat to the DAV network.
