RE: Similarities between Blockchain and DNA.

in #blockchain7 years ago

I was having this same thought today. That blockchain technology encodes information a lot like DNA. I wonder how we can manipulate the different strands of blockchain to be more cohesive and evolve over time like DNA does for our bodies. Think of products that could code for different strands of the blockchain tk become more advanced and link up the I formation in a relevant useful manner.

If hardforks would become kind of daily happening, dying hardfork currencies would be the equivalent to an ending species evolution strain. Hard forks would be a kind of trial and error branch selection of the algorithm of evolution. This would give the continuing surviving branch a kind of passive feedback to be the most optimal solution. ..there would be no active feedback, needed to integrate in one main blockchain. Simply by an uncountable number of hard forks, so over trial and error, one blockchain brachn would turn out as the strongest..

So survival of the fittest. Sadly, in today's terms people tend to focus more on survival of the fastest not fittest. To me, adaptability is probably the strongest characteristic a species entity or idea can hold.
