Sola: The Instagram On The Blockchain. A Steemit Like Platform, Post & Earn!

Have you heard of Sola or already using this social media platform? I first heard about it through @bloggersclub's post (SOL is now on Open Ledger Dex) 3 days ago.

Sola is an acronym for “social layer" and SOL is the platform's crypto currency.

Unlike conventional social networks, Sola doesn’t use the concept of following. It spreads information like a viral disease to the most interested users.

Sola app is available in iOS, Android & web working since 2014. The platform have more than 700,000 users at the moment. For comparison, the most known crypto social network Steemit have about 500,000 users (source).

How To Withraw SOL From The App
According to their Twitter, An app wallet will be ready later this month of January. It will allow you to transfer SOL from the app to your ETH wallet.

How To Earn On Sola
When you register, you'll get free 5 SOL reward.
Then when you browse the platform, you'll view the cards (post) of other members and you can either skip by swipping it down (if your using your mobile) or endorse (upvote) by swipping up.

Everytime you endorse a card, you'll spend 5 AP or more (i guess the calculation depends on the quantity of the card).
AP stands for "action points".
You will get 100 or more of AP per day and in my understanding, the more you endorse or comment, the more you'll earn AP.

Note: Be careful when swipping up! You might spend much of your AP by accident just like what I did. (well.. that's part of learning and exploring 😅).

By registering, you get connected to the whole network. No friends and follower needed but you can follow users that you want to follow by priotizing them using the arrow button at the top of the screen.
When you register and everytime a new user sign up using your referral link, you will get free 100 AP!

You can also endorse the comments that you like but not your own card or comment which is opposit to Steemit.

It's difficult to explain everything about Sola without trying it out yourself. It feels like getting started on Steemit and oh! whatever you post on steemit, you can also post on Sola.
