Background -

I have been in the health field all my life.

Both of my parents were medical and health professionals. And I spent 24 years as an Independent Duty Corpsman (Advanced Operational Medicine) for the U.S. military.

Myself and my military cohorts were mandated to "vigorously exercise" (Wow, what an understatement!) for at least 3 1/2 hours everyday.

Needless to say, because of the demands of our jobs (combat diving, free-fall parachuting and hazardous, extended arduous duty), we all became fitness fanatics.

Almost all of us were certified military and civilian fitness trainers.

Even after retirement, I exercise daily to keep fit and mentally sharp.

I've grown quite used to people mistaking me for a man decades younger. And I'm often surprised that my ex-pat buddies who also retired in Asia are plagued with so many "self-inflicted" physical afflictions and "manly maladies" - and look decades older than they really are.

Don't get me wrong. I am no choir boy trying to proselytize the Fitness Gospel. I have several vices. But I do moderate my indulgences and make it a point to never miss a workout.

Okay. Now you know the fitness side of my background.

But I'm also an MBA graduate and have been in the Disruptive Technology, Computer Science and Cryptocurrency spaces for many years.
