Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies

Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies are groundbreaking technologies and may be very new to most Grand Pa and Grand Ma (with no disrespect to anyone, I love my Grand Parents). This may not be so important to the legendary Tarzan and Jane because they spend much of their time in the jungle being relatively happy with nature (again with no disrespect, I love to watch Tarzan from Johnny Weissmuller, Christopher Lambert, and the Disney Tarzans).
For me, these words are somewhat difficult to digest if that is what we are supposed to do.

Do we need to learn these things or just let the experts do their things?

Even the definition of Blockchain by Wikipedia at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blockchain the terms they used like cryptography, cryptographic, hash and merkle tree was never mentioned to me by my teachers before. Up until now I never used these words in my sentences.

What I like with blockchain and cryptocurrency is the term decentralized digital currency where the value of your money or the buying power of money should not be affected by the decisions of other countries and governments officials because of what they are doing with their economy. The ability of the powerful and wealthy individual to influence the market with products that they promote in all media even if we really do not need them but they make it look important.

Due to progress and the speed of technology, I feel that our education system is very slow to catch up or they do not have a plan to catch.
Just compare the telephone in the 1970s and the cell phones of today the difference is very great, the telephone before is only used for voice calling only, but today's phones can now be used as a camera, calculator, voice and video calling, calendar, timer and almost everything a desktop or a laptop can do.
In the 1960s teachers use chalk, blackboards, and papers to teach their students. 50 plus years later, we still use the same chalk, blackboards, and papers to teach. Most teachers grew old teaching the same syllabus subjects in a similar way that they started teaching until they retired.

In my own humble opinion blockchain and other new technology should be introduced in the educational system for our young students to learn and the opportunities that await them.

Yes, it still too complicated and explaining it to other people is really hard, it is technology and money combine.. and usually everything you did not know about money :)
