🌍 Blockchain News: IBM is building a blockchain for seven of Europe's biggest banks! (English/German)
Hello Steemians, I have found an new article about ineresting blockchain news and the CNBC article is about the announcement of IBM, that they are building a blockchain for seven of Europe's biggest banks in the area of trade finance. Deutsche Bank, HSBC, KBC, Natixis, Rabobank, Societe Generale and Unicredit are the banks that are part of the consortium.
Here is an little excerpt of the article:
IBM is building blockchain technology that will be used by seven of Europe's largest banks, including HSBC and Rabobank, to facilitate international trade for small and medium-size enterprises, the company said on Tuesday.
The project will mark one of the first real-world use cases of blockchain technology in financial institutions. The potential of blockchain has been praised by the banking industry over the past couple of years, but the first real applications are beginning.

Teil der Vereinigung sind die Deutsche Bank, HSBC, KBC, Natixis, Rabobank, Societe Generale und Unicredit.

That is bad news because we want to get rid of the banks instead of helping them to go on with their shady business. I will certainly not buy or use that as long as I can avoid it.
you cant just get rid of the banks, its better to find a use for them. I see it in security. Crypto is still a shady market, nobody likes storing cryptos at home
Yes they probably will have to transform into something new themselves. And it will be good for all of us.
So centralizing decentralization? Got it! Banks and financial institutions don't want to be left behind so they're jumping on the bandwagon with big guns for something they can control

UBS & Credit Suisse are working since 2 years now on rolling out something useful but haven't preformed. I am a little bit cautious when I hear news like that.
It's not a guarantee only because they have started to build up a blockchain that they will succeed or that it will be used.
For me it seems banks try to keep up with the "unknown" so they will not be missed behind.
Its happening !!!! the rise of cryptos and blockchains !

I almost invested in IBM about six months ago when share price was hovering around $140s. Guess it might be a good time to jump on board their stock. or maybe just put it all on crypto? hmm
Well, they start working to roll-out something, that doesn't mean they success.. ;-)
