i'm a big fan of crowdsources equity especially in the new ICO context, but i'd like to see the movement attach itself to legal jurisdictions to use courts to protect the property rights of investors. Of course, in a rational expectations framework, the lack of legal protect ought to be priced with discounts in offerings, but i suspect that not all market participants are rational and there's plenty of room for fraud to crowd out legitimate offerings.
