Become a BlockChain Developer - Learning Solidity
Today the Blockchain technology is said to be in the same state as the Internet was in the 90s. The entrance of Bitcoin has been similar to the rise of the internet. The Google Play Store, was released in the year 2008. By around 2009, there were about 2000 apps uploaded. As of 2018, there are over 3.5 million apps published! And this is regarding android only! But with the introduction of blockchain, decentralized apps and platforms(of which Steemit is a perfect example) are getting more and more lime light these days. Decentralized applications run with their code uploaded on to the blockchain and are becoming the next big thing. The demand for developers with good skills in blockchain and DApp development far exceeds the current availability.
Yesterday, I had seen this interesting YouTube video by Siraj Raval (Link to which is given below.) In the video he talks about how the blockchain and decentralized apps are the next big thing. Lets take for example the case of CryptoKitties. CryptoKitties is a blockchain based game where players can buy, breed and sell digital cats. It works on the Ethereum blockchain and was so popular that it even slowed down the Ethereum network. The game is written with a programming language called Solidity, the language of Ethereum Apps. Learning Solidity is easy and you can start developing in it if you have some experience in programming.
There is an interesting website for learning Solidity. www.cryptozombies.io is an interactive website where you can learn to program in solidity through their tutorials. In the website, they guide you through the process by making you code your own CryptoKitties like game, CryptoZombies. It is a fun way to learn all the syntax and how the language is used. You will learn about smart contracts, linking your solidity code with front-end JavaScript and so on.
Now is the perfect time for learning blockchain development as it is still in the infant stage. In the coming decade, we will be able to see more of innovative blockchain based apps and technology for sure. Blockchain developers will be in great need in the future. Other than the cryptozombie website, there are a lot of other resources to learn Solidity, such as the documentation of the language. Maybe you can even come up with your own exciting decentralized revolution!
