Steem Arena: another great game to mirror Splinterlands success?

Previously I talked a lot about Splinterlands, previously known as Steem Monsters, a revolutionary collectible card game that you can play here.

The game itself is fun and simple to play. You can score your daily quests and earn cards. These cards have a real money value. That was the simple way to put it: you can actually trade your cards for a Steem value, and Steem itself has a real money value.

It is also possible to earn more in the dozen tournaments which are run every week. Some cards I earned with season rewards below:

Thanks to its success, Splinterlands has inspired other developers to make new game contributions to the Steem blockchain.

The new project that came to light is Steem Arena.

Steem Arena is a new collectible card game.

It will have very interesting and original features, where you receive uniquely randomly generated robot cards, and can level them up randomly as well.

For now, people are invited to subscribe to its newsletter while waiting or the game to come live.

The best way to learn about it is to read this detailed article as it explains its gameplay, creature customization, arena concept and also talks a bit about its dev team. I took my pictures from there, as I can't play the game yet to make my own screenshots :P

And I remember having seen some of Steem Arena developers as players on Splinterlands :)

The developers mentioned an idea about cross-games features: a thing for which I am super-hyped :)

For now they mentioned a common marketplace, but who nows what may comes next.

I was a new steemian two months ago, and I noticed the people behind the Steem Monsters and the Steem Arena projects are also "Steem witnesses". I may summarize it as some kind of super-users supporting the Steem blockchain.
