RE: MachWire: Government Enters Crypto @Blockchain_3.0

hi @machnbirdsparo

Definetyl post worth reading. Thx for sharing that link with me.

Why would you consider reguations as something wrong? ("The Bad News: Looming Regulations")

ps.
You've mentioned those few cryptos with solid utility. Perhaps you could include projects like waves/bitshares/polymath etc? Those are definetly few worth mentioning as well.

Piotr

:) Most people consider regulations as a cause for lower market prices (short-term anyway). Kind of from the perspective of increasing blockchain usage. So good news a government sees it worthwhile, but bad that regulations can scare people away. Section titles were more meant for descriptive/effect than anything else, also a skimming the post.

Certainly many other projects, these just seem to promote themselves as "different" blockchains. Kind of raising awareness that people are starting to talk about a 3rd generation blockchain (smart contracts being the 2nd).

Still highly debatable, especially the security issue.

Thx for your prompt reply @machnbirdsparo

I trully cannot understand people with such a twisted mindset. crypto space will be better off without those people.

How can we really expect institutional money and serious investors to be involved in a market so highly unregulated. In my opinion regulations are necessary. Alsol investors need to know how to pay taxes.

Lack of regulations is main reason for current market conditions.

bad that regulations can scare people away

What scares people away (mostly) is knowing that goverments want to introduce regulations, but half year down the line hardly any regulations has been introduced. Being in "limbo" is the worst thing for this market.

Piotr

Absolutely, limbo is the worst. It is what a lot of of professionals who either, are in, or want in, on crypto.

Remember though, that crypto was built in an unregulated Wild West so the industry will be overly touchy about this topic.

Wild west? not wild east? :)

Sure. Even though the east is plagued by communism, there is so much going on there that maybe it is wild.
