Some years back in high school, I remember going to the hospital to see the doctor. It had been a while since I visited the hospital, five months to be precise. The normal procedure was to submit your hospital card to enable them search for your file, which I did. I waited for over three hours only to be told that my file was missing and was advised to open another (wasting my time and loosing important medical data). I wasn't happy with that because I was in pain and I needed an urgent medication at that moment. At some point, I was told to come into the room to search for my file in annoyance which I was about to before a doctor I knew intervened (which depicted no privacy and lack of security for other peoples medical records). He asked for a new file to be opened which took a while before I was attended to. This experience depicted how careless they were with medical records, lacked privacy and security of records.
