The Blockchain Hub and Quantum Computing Data Sciences present:

Quantum-Resistant Blockchains: Securing the Future

The potential capability of quantum computing to undermine standard cryptographic algorithms such as RSA and elliptical curve cryptography are widely known in the Blockchain community, and the effort to assess the impact is ongoing. While the threat to standard encryption is most publicized, we also see some efforts to harness the nascent quantum computing resources for new Blockchain protocols.

• Check out this primer from a Singularity Article on the topic:

Agenda:

MC: Othalia Doe-Bruce

Community & External Relationships Manager at the BlockchainHub

6:00-7:15: Networking followed by an Introduction to Quantum for beginners

7:15-8:30: Presentation on building Quantum resistant Blockchains followed by panel discussion and Q&A session.

For this event we have invited the following speakers to share their personal assessments and perspectives on the topic during a panel discussion:

CEO & Founder & Quantum Engineer at Black Brane Systems Inc.

Perspective: Integrating quantum cryptography with DLT

-- Yanbo Xue

Senior Deep Learning Researcher at D-Wave Systems Inc.

Perspective: Current state of QC hardware and differences between various architectures.

-- Dave MacDonald

Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Receptiviti

Perspective: Distributed AI and differences between classical and quantum Blockchain tech.

Panel moderator: Henning Dekant

Co-Founder of Artiste-QB.net, a quantum computing venture

Organizer for Quantum Computing Data Sciences meetup group

Wow would love to attend this seminar...Unfortunately can't attend but thank you for spreading the blockchain and crypto knowledge. Hope you have an event in Washington State soon. I'll definitely be there!!! Followed you to keep in touch - take care!

Nice share, important issues around blockchain industry..

One of the interesting things about quantum mechanics is that our implied concept of distance is somehow wrong. How does one go from a true state to false? What is the distance between them? With light as photons, distance can be measured and there is no probabilistic partial outcome without observation.

How does an electron suddenly jump from one orbit to another with no in between? A change in energy results in a suddenly different position as if there is no smaller division that can be handled. At some point, for existence to exist, it must go from zero to one without an in between.

Just signed up to go. Thanks for the heads-up.
