The chief of China’s central bank, Zhou Xiaochuan, reportedly said the Chinese government plans slowly to eliminate cash and develop a national blockchain currency. He stated the transition would be a slow process
But imho the Chinese Government does not want a mostly anonymous system with chanegable account adresses.
I guess they will give you an account adress that you have to use for all transactions, so they can observe every step you make, maybe it´s also linked to your social (media) score!?

Wait till you hear about the Sesame Credit System in China. It creates a social score that pushes people to behave the way the government wants. Though currently opt-in, it will become mandatory in 2020.

I wrote about the shift in power from West to East in previous posts. I convinced they will use Communist China for the monetary center of the NWO.
It will be so easy for china to implement blockchain based currencies. The amount of contact less and non fiat based exchange is amazing already.
Although it is not very secure, Wechat pay is used widely in major cities and is even picking up momentum in less populated areas.
The switch or even incorparation of crypto based currencies into the Wechat app would be an easy implementation for china. Wechat Pay can be used in almost any situation where both parties have a phone with Wechat accounts.
You can pay the taxi fair, buy a coke, pay for a meal or even gift friends on their birthday. The use of Wechat doesn't just stop at human to human interaction, many machines also allow for the Wechat pay method.
I see China to be a leader in the Crypto currency world.
