Ah yes! The head instructor is really big on the concept that getting it to the ground is essential for any grappling success. In all advanced classes, we start rolls from our feet and one week a month we train nogi which is all from standing. I will pick some stand-up centered classes perhaps as a break in the curriculum or afterwards.
