Thanks to some "noob advice" from a relatively new Steemian, (@dlslipa88) I made a transfer and snagged some BTS! Once I saw that BitShares uses a similar blockchain as Steem, I knew it would not remain CHEAP for very long :D It's like $120 in U$D but that's not a whole lot of venture capital. I am also in he process of extracting ~$36 from my coinpot micro-wallet and sending it to Poloniex. BTS is down at the moment, maybe it will be down even more when my funds get there to buy more BTS ;) I will keep y'all posted, IMO the BitShares has to be as big a deal as the Steem at this time, maybe even a better deal!

THANKS @dlslipa88!!!

I'm glad bitshares got delisted so the price dipped and gave us a chance to grab some up... so much delicious FUD... it wasn't a mar to be delisted from these crappy centralized exchanges, it was a badge of honour... Bitshares is going to do its own thang regardless and outshine many, many other cryptos imo...

Great to see you, OKC! Yes, I believe "those guys" were just trying to make room for more "profitable" coins, but they will regret it! :D BTS has tons of traffic, (transactions) and once the big BTC funds come filtering down thru the system, BTS will have it's day! Week, YEAR, DECADE... You Name it!

Can you tell me what the bitshares token is so special? also blocktrade has bitshares as well do not use Poloniex

See Above :D
Where would my wallet be for Blocktrades? I'd have to get one on my computer, correct?

use the bitshares exchange. And i just bought some with blocktrades

It is a whole ecosystem, much more than just a coin. Research the bit assets like bitUSD and bitCNY, they allow you to lock up BTS as collateral to become your own bank and borrow from yourself. Fascinating concept that is finally getting noticed. Proven track record since 2014. Dan Larimer, creator of Steem, also founded Bitshares and is now working on EOS. They all have very bright futures! Definitely do all you can to research BTS and learn about it.

Hey @underground

"Maybe even a better deal" - Explain this :)

Would love to hear your thoughts on both of the platforms and systems.

Well, BTS has the same blockchain and dynamics as Steem, but the lower exposure makes it cheaper. The transaction handling capability is equal to Steem, (provided the same number of miners pony up) and once the dumb chains get wore out, and ETH is swamped with "kitty furr" BTS and STEEM wil Reign Supreme!!! Just my 2¢ but the table appears to be set for BTS as well. It's a steal right now at under 40¢!
Coinmarketcap.com has it thus: $0.374638 USD
Stack It With Both Hands, and HODL! ;)

So other than being the main coin for trading it its exchange what else can it do and thing making you want to hold for exp= steem=steempower
Bitshares= any fee share in the exchange or something?

And in Steemit you can always earn some Steem, in Bitshares this doesn't happen right? And is BTS a coin? No, just blockchain right? I thought the coin is HERO or something.

Bitshares better have some kinda of fee share made by the exchange or it not going to be special

Welcome to the club. Buy and hold!

Yup, anything short of $1000 is not worth jacking with, unless is seems to have gone stale but this is likely a special case. I see nearly unlimited upside, so I will be stacking more BTS coin!
Thanks for stopping in!

I totally agree! The trick is to hold these coins and be patient!

Sweet...

THAT'S WHAT I SAID, RIGHT?!?!?
