Welcome to the 12th Bitshares State of the Network (BSotN) report. I will be releasing this report weekly to look at the changes in the ecosystem and track longer term changes in a effort to identify emerging trends and changes in the Bitshares platform.

The Bitshares State of the Network Reports seeks to combine raw data from a wide range of metrics and combine them into meaningful information to identify emerging trends and changes in the Bitshares network.
Observation from this week
This section will highlight any observations made while analysing the data.
@stan has announced a new service being launched by cryptonomex; 'Remittio' offers an off ramp for the leading cryptocurrencies. Remittio is suggested to bring traffic to Bitshares Smartcoins but this angle is yet to be seen. Find out more HERE
Chronos Crypto has released another video as part of his ongoing worker proposal with the Bitshares network. the latest video named 'The Bitshares Decentralized Exchange' can be found HERE
JonnyBitcoin has released a video show how to withdraw USD to you bank account via Bitshares and uphold; titled 'USD withdrawl from Bitshares' you can view it HERE
Peerplays have announced they are going work towards the GUI wallet and the mystery game is gearing up for its testnet release. keep an eye on all the news at @peerplays or peerplays.com/news
John Ferguson and Travis Remington have started publicly discussing a project that they are working named 'valuechoice' on behind the scenes. The information is vague at this stage as they are still working on it but you can hear what they released thus far on the latest Technology and Choice Podcast HERE

Open orders on the Bitshares Decentralized Exchange (DEX) for the top 1000 accounts is up 17.37% to 54 Million BTS - it is clear that BTSBOT (Free Market Maker bot created by Bitshares user 'alt') has contributed to some this rise in open orders
BitCNY supply is down 26% W/W
Current registered wallets/accounts within the Bitshares network is 140910 an increase of 1749 wallets/accounts since last week
Bitshares account enter has gone on another name registration rampage registering 3 letter accounts
The last asset registered this week is asset #1195 and is named 'VALUE' registered by 'mranderson' with the description as 'Value Choice; Issued to Value Choice Research & Consulting team members to track efforts. Team will meet every 2-4 weeks to issue new tokens.'
Some issue related to sourcing referrals, voting and committee member data means that those sections are all recorded as 0 this week
