A lot of Cryptocurrency investors online, are skeptical of Bitshares. What I can say about this: You're going to regret it later on.

Do you Trade on Exchanges, have you used Tether before ?

Well, let me break this to you...Bitshares is similar to Ethereum, however features Smartcoins that are also going to eventually end up replacing ERC20 & even Tether tokens.
In fact, Chinese Cryptocurrency Exchanges are busy listing Bitshares Smart tokens as trading pairs of several exchanges right now

People will figure that out, that BitUSD, BitEuro & more BTS Smarttoken are more stable compared to Tether tokens pegged to Fiat currencies without all the conspiracy surrounding them. Stay away from Tether and start using BitUsd instead. By the way, Smartcoins are just one function of the BTS DEX which is getting another facelift in a few days to improve trading charts.

Why convert into government fiat when you can hold something private that is pegged to fiat?

Let's say, if the FEDs were to implement tight restrictions on privacy coins in the US, BTS DEX may end up being your only place to sell most privacy-based or banned Cryptocurrencies, combine that with the fact that no third-party is going have the opportunity to exploit or get hacked hence why decentralized Exchanges are going to become more popular than centralized Exchanges over time

Does Bitshares offer a solution?

BTS doesn't suffer from scalability problems like every ETH project does or Bitcoin. Low cost & speedy 3 sec confirmation time will make you fall in love with Bitshares. This Exchange is designed for high volume trading, able to compete with global services such as Visa, Mastercard and Nasdaq, something no other project can boast about.

Do you know that Bitshares is also one of the most active Blockchain by measurement of transactions per day, beating every other Cryptocurrency. See www.blocktivity.info if you doubt that.
If you're interested to trade Cryptocurrencies, especially if you're looking for a Fiat-Pegged trading pairs then Bitshares DEX is what you're looking for now!

Congratulation for Bitshares for reaching over >1,000,000 transactions in the past 24 hours! BAM! Plenty of capacity left, not even 1% used! Thumbs up to this Decentralized Exchange

I signed up a while ago but I just started trading and promoting Bitshares this past week. https://wallet.bitshares.org/?r=htooms1

A lot of people drag me along saying "let's meet tomorrow"
Then the price goes up and they are nowhere to be found (and I know why) They want to buy low and watch me take the hit when it rises again.

Now

I have been suggesting they bring their dollars and I sell them bitUSD, so they can go home and grab that low BTC whenever they want to and with all the waiting. Yes, I am sitting right there when they sign up.

The amazement with the speed of transfers

I have personally signed up 15 people in the last 10 days but my referral link rarely works. Some, and I mean some... Some people make a new account under me later and then use it.

For cases like that, does anyone know how to refer someone using the mobile app? or the downloadable 'AppImaage' file?

Be careful with that. I’ve read News stories of persons getting arrested and conficted for running illegal money changing bussiness of sorts. I suggest doin some research for your jurisdiction before taking on large amounts.

Question; how does the bitusd or bitgold peg work exactly?

Check out ByteMaster's Blog!

Thanks mate!

Thanks for the insight. I too bought some bitshares yesterday

If I want to buy Steem on Bitshares, so.. it's not real Steem right? It's pegged to it somehow? In other words, I can't withdraw or deposit Steem or Bitcoin into my account on Bitshares can I? Only Bitshares goes in and only Bitshares goes out? That's ok if that's the case..I just need to wrap my head around it before going in further and using it.

You can deposit/withdraw them via the OpenLedger gateway but you end up with an open.[COIN] in your Bitshares account. These are backed by OpenLedger but you have to trust that they actually have the real coins.

The bit[USD/CNY/EUR] smartcoins which exist natively inside Bitshares are a different thing. They are backed by at least 175% of their value in BTS and the system will automatically monitor this to make sure that they remain solvent. It takes a little study to understand how they work but it seems like a good system.

open.STEEM is STEEM but you willl find BEYONDBITCOIN and even WHALESHARES on the DEX.... of course it's the same STEEM...

Steem and open.STEEM are different blockchains. So, how can you say one is the other?

Steem is a Blockchain. Open.steem is a token for a steem deposit of that amount. And you can use the token to get steem on the steem Blockchain

So.. I could deposit Steem into bitshares exchange but it gets held in a smart contract and then I can trade open.steem which represents 1 for 1 of that deposit? I still wish everything was priced in BTC because it's super awkward for me to compare things.

Excellent summary of Bitshares' strong points. I've been all in on Bitshares for a couple months, trading on the Bitshares DEX nearly every day.

BitShares and STEEM are legit!

Excellent post and what a celebration this day has to be for us all being part of this revolution empowering every single person on this planet and taking part into this.

All for one and one for all! Namaste :)

Good Post! Can't wait till it takes off!!

Alright let's do a transaction * click * * poof * oh it's already here.

It was really cheap a month ago on Bittrex because they were about to unlist it. I have just discovered you do not need a full node. You can use a web wallet which works more or less like the Steemit wallet.
