Interesting info. I wish it was just as simple to get some Bitshares. Been stuggling with it for two days now. But I'm a believer: I won't give up ;-)
An easy way is to use https://blocktrades.us/ or from your Steem wallet click BUY STEEM and it will take you to the Blocktrades swap. You can exchange many currencies for Bitshares and you simply put in your Bitshares account name and click generate wallet to find the address to send it to. Hope that helps!
