The faster blockchain right now is Bitshares ..Like any product on the market it needs a good package.In my opinion content is more important but the ppl want "sex appeal" ..The Dex is the visible central piece of the ecosystem and from a cosmetic point of view ...is ugly. First impression is crucial.You cannot spark the interest or desire to explore more of it if you cannot retain some sort of visual pleasure.It.s almost like dating.The present design of the Dex interface was done by coders for coders.The "commoner" wont spend time to understand how it works because at a subconscious level is repulsing visualy and non-intuitive..The Dex needs new generation of UI designers.The initial ones are locked into a perception which doesn't vibrate at the level of the street user.They are incapable to understand why new users won't stick around.To change things around the Dex project needs new blood of coders who can create a modern interface using trendy colours , ease of navigation , easy to follow logic , an Android and iPhone client and friendly centralised support. Also community communication should use 1 or 2 channels at the most so the new users don't get lost in a myriad of forums, blogs, telegram, discord, twitter and facebook segregated groups. In the design "department" before a wp is voted a mock-up of the interface should be asked upfront so ppl can see what they pay for. I've watched since October discussion after discussion about the design , lots of promises and as of right now , the whole design still stinks..is exactly as before with some minors adjustments..same dark ugly colours or blinding white..for God sake this is 2018 not Fortran era..every single millennial I showed the interface run away...Apple has slick design and slick functionality and success ...We only have functionality..Bitshare will remain at the same level in the world of cryptos forever if it is not willing to shed the old clothes and habits and step with new ones into the future.
