A Bitland Global News Update: Cadastral ICO ongoing, new operations center in Nigeria, and more!
28 August 2016 (Bloomington, Indiana): Bitland Global’s ICO (Initial Crowd Offering) has launched. Cadastrals, Bitland’s token, can be purchased from Open Ledger and Crypto Coins Enterprise Denmark (CCEDK). The Cadastral’s place in the Bitland project is twofold. The token helps fund Bitland operations while its blockchain backbone serves as a repository for land title transaction information.
Interested in free Cadastrals? On September 5 the Bitland Global Shop will open for business. Here, supporters and enthusiasts of the Bitland vision will be able to purchase t-shirts and other Bitland-themed products. For a limited time the Bitland shop will be offering free paper wallets preloaded with 25 Cadastrals with each t-shirt purchase.
Bitland continues to pursue diverse sources for funding its projects, which are taking off at an accelerated pace as Bitland’s first office is scheduled to open for operation in October in Kumasi, Ghana, followed by a second office in Lagos, Nigeria projected to open in January 2017. To this end, last week Bitland co-founders Chris Bates and Elliot Hedman traveled to Connecticut where they represented the Bitland project at the semi-final round of Connecticut Innovation’s international Venture Clash competition. Bitland Global is one of thirty companies to advance to this stage of the competition in which digital health and financial tech companies compete for $5 million in investment. The ten companies to advance to the finals will be announced on September 18.
Last but not least, Bitland co-founders Bates and Hedman are returning to the Bay Area for the first time since attending this year’s D10e conference in San Francisco back in June. On September 1 Bates and Hedman will present the Bitland Global project to private investors in Palo Alto at a “Bitcoin and Blockchain Breakfast Panel” organized and hosted by Assistera and Nordic Innovation House.
