Tales of Shadows Episode 1: BeeZee

In this series, I would like to highlight persons or events of interests related to some of the major news we hear about in the media. Today, I would like to focus on a person who goes by BeeZee on YouTube. This will be a cautionary tale.

I first learned about BeeZee during the BitConnect exit on this Reddit thread by the user, brisbanebiker.

It showed a case of tragic reality of a person who fell for a Ponzi scheme and lost all his savings.

Like many others who have watched the video, I felt bad for the man. That is, until we saw subsequent contents published by the said man.

BeeZee eventually went on to promote other lending platforms such as Falcon Coin, Davor, etc. They can all be found on his personal YouTube channel.

Some say he became one of the bad guys, hoping to scam money. Some say he became "greatly disturbed" and no longer sane. Regardless what you think of him, it is evident that he is not the same man after BitConnect exit scammed investors' money. Just look at a previous video uploaded by BeeZee before his unfortunate story.

People who follow BeeZee's channel are aware of the memes that spawned from this man's antics. Phrases such as "lend it till you lose it" and "stake it till you break it" added humorous, but dark, spins on his videos. For some subscribers, they enjoy watching his self-destructive behavior. Some pleaded with him to stop the madness, but seemed to have fallen on deaf ears.

Ironically, rather than trying to recoup what he's lost in scams through more scams, he probably could have made some decent profit through making shirts with those slogans. I know there are a number of people who are willing to buy those clothes.

What will happen to BeeZee in the future? At the very least, we gained awareness on some of the shadier projects in crypto space.
