Bitconnect: A Scam Or AWESOME way to make money?

in #bitconnect7 years ago

Recently, I've been getting a lot of flak for calling out bitconnect for potentially being a scam, And basically what I was saying is it is most likely not legit. And you can never be too sure it is legit, but i'm betting on it most likely being a scam.

I mean, since my last post, it seems that people are mad that I am questioning bitconnect

As you can see, I got flagged by a random bitconnect supporter...

Here is how it "works"

Here is a few reasons why it is most likely a scam.

One

The english and grammar on the cite is horrible, and the intro video is confusing as hell. Usually legit platforms are more organized and have better explanations with better language. This of course, isn't 100%, but it is a sign.

Two

It's way too good to be true, they offer more than what is a reality. I mean just check out @thegrinder's post on it. He says:

"For those of you that don't know, BitConnect is a cryptocurrency(BCC) and a site that promises its users a return of up to 480%+ in cash(not crypto) per year, and even a guaranteed profit of up to 91.25% a year, depending on how much you invest, with no risk of loss! They claim these money are made with a cryptocurrency trading bot that they created."

Excerpt from @thegrinder's post : https://steemit.com/scam/@thegrinder/the-bitconnect-scam-exposed

"To recap: They attract users by promising amazing returns on their investment. They artificially increase the price of their crypto by tricking users into buying it with Bitcoin and giving it back to them, along with the Bitcoin. They pay back the interest to their users from new investments. When their profit is maximized, they sell all of their artificially inflated currency(7000%+ since release) and Bitcoins and disappear."

Three

The people pumping up bitconnect (which is most likely a scam), are getting flagged like crazy on steemit, some of those people are @craig-grant, @yuliana, and @trevonjb. I'm not saying they are bad people, because I hardly know them, but one thing they all have in common is they pump up bitconnect which has a higher probability of being a scam than not. If you use your common sense, if more and more people are seeing it is a scam and are flagging them, they would have to do it if they have gotten scammed by it or know someone who has, so there is probably a reason.

And the thing is, so many people support it and bandwagon bitconnect, so most people don't even do any research on it, they just go along with it. Typically the people who fall for it are crypto newbies.

And before you bitconnect pumpers or supporters get all pissed off that i'm suggesting it is a scam, keep this in mind; i'm using my common sense and looking at the tell tale signs. Of course right away, there isn't going to be solid proof of it, but there is signs that it most likely is. So don't be blaming me for pointing fingers, I am just warning of a potential scam or threat that could cost you money. My last post about it seemed like I was blaming it and pointing fingers a little, but that is not my intention, Just keep that in mind @fractalfreedom, @bigthingz, @paulyaces76.

Who knows, maybe i'm wrong, and I hope i'm wrong that it is a scam, because I don't think the world needs anymore scams in this world. I really do hope I am wrong. Don't get me wrong.

I think you're right to question this!
I will not be an empty bag holder...

The english and grammar on the cite is horrible

Does this bad english make this post a scam?

People need to be cautious with their own money. If you don't do your own research and make your own decision on your best course of action for your money then it's your own fault if you lose it. But, it's also your own fault if you do those things and still take the risk and lose all your money.

I took the risk and made all my money back from them. Now they pay me profits every day. They could close shop at any time, but so could a lot of places like poloniex or bittrex. There is a risk with investing in any of these types of things or putting your money in someone else's control. If people are willing to take the risk, then let them.

Bitconnect is awesome! Do you got a sponsor?

Now you do it again. You can't make accusation then say that is not your intention. Your not questioning your pointing the finger and making accusations that can do harm- get it?
Seems like you have taken some other posters thegrinder statement as proof, along with some grammatical errors, that this is a scam. Along with others yelling and flagging people with no proof. Real honest unbiased research? Have you asked or sought the voice of anyone who is using it and is happy? Any opposing views allowed or considered. No just braggadocios.
Now you have joined the chorus screaming fire in a place you haven't even been in and has no idea whats inside.
I hope you can be honest to yourself. It is a good reflex to develop.
Like I said in your other post...you could be right...but what if your wrong?
Realize your mistake and go back to fishing. Your naming people in your tags and taking this too far. What is in it for you? Your hiding behind your age?

Yes sure, I was trying to make a post. But I am sorry for making "accusations" but I really want you to understand that my intentions aren't bad, I just want to warn people of potential scams that can ruin your life if you spend too much money on it. Of course, there is not any proof that is solid yet, but time will tell. I am just listing signs and suspicious signs of bitconnect. I don't know, maybe it can be an awesome thing, god knows. But I just think it is fishy, plane and simple. I really don't like arguing, and yes, I say shit out of heat, but don't take them personally. I am not a perfect person, as you aren't either. I hope you can come to realise I have no bad intentions, I am just trying to make a living. And yes, I know I can be wrong, or right, but that really doesn't matter, All that matters was I was trying to make a good gesture to help. Personally, I don't really care for the people who pump up bitconnect either, so that may be a factor of why I dislike it. And I don't know you, You could be a scammar, you could be a person making a legitamate living, I don't know. But one thing I am not good at is arguing over something so stupid. If it is so good and worked for you so well, you don't have to go on people's post and fight for it, just use it. like if you really know it works, you know it works. The results speak for itself, no need to argue with me about it. But I thank you for your kind way of warning me that making accusations could end up at a bad place.

Best regards,

~ @alex-icey

I think it is each to their own, I just joined bitconnect and have been very cautious due some of the facts you have stated, true or not.

I think if you don't get greedy and put in only the amount of money you are willing to lose who cares if it is a scam or not? Take out your initial investment amount as soon as you can and you lose nothing. Some people think that cryptocurrencies are a scam. Scam or no scam who cares. If I put in money and lose it then it is my fault and if the crypto noobs gamble what they cant afford to lose then the only people they can blame is themselves. I think we would all agree.
