Bitcoin Cash potential chain split could be publicity and marketing at its best....

I have been closely analyzing the debate within the Bitcoin Cash community, "the supposedly warring clang of ABC and nChain" as both entities try to plot a way forward for the community. Base on what I have seen on reddit, discord, slack and the varying twitter thread I have come to the conclusion its all marketing and publicity. The personalities of Jihan, Craig Wright, Calvin Ayre, Roger Ver, etc but importantly the Bitcoin Cash community seem rather cool for something so important. Going through their discord channel and the twitter feed of a few key players the typical divide and conquer tactics aren't apparent although Craig Wright and Jihan seem to be at a tipping point. The biggest give away for me is the supposedly "September 1st Stress Test" where million of transaction would be spam throughout the network to see its full potential. At least they all agree on this, I won't be surprise following that event unconfirmed transaction on Bitcoin network spikes to prove the point of network capacity and the value proposition of blocksize.

Both ABC and nChain are engaged in rhetoric via social media, nChain is yet to release a client and ABC likewise, both proposals without any significant testing. The biggest giveaway for me is the sense of urgency following the September 1st Stress test, also worthy of note significant figures meeting up in Bangkok to figure things out. These chain of events have been quite successful, managing to draw in the likes of Buterin and the vocal crypto-twitter enthusiast community.

How I feel about Bitcoin Cash

I strongly believe in the peer-to-peer movement, making transaction cheap and scalable. Some of the personalities behind the project I appreciate like Calvin Ayre and Roger Ver. In particular, Calvin Ayre is doing a lot of work in the Caribbean especially Antigua, I know success for Bitcoin Cash would mean well for Caribbean as he continue to spend his money where his mouth is. The debate of whether BTC vs BCH is more of philosophy, I certainly get their point, last year we had some within the BTC community that was praising the high fees agenda, and certainly that cannot work. However, the aggressive marketing deploy by Bitcoin Cash was ill-advised, its hurting their brand. I don't get into the debate of whether Craig Wright is Satoshi, he could, he could not nobody really knows. One thing is certain to me from the emails that Satoshi sent and whitepaper, the twitter personality of Craig Wright is definitely off. I strongly believe that Satoshi Vision should be maintained, there is probably more money in the Store of Value agenda but that is an endless debate....

We are just a couple of days away from the "Stress Test", if this is marketing, it certainly effective as most crypto enthusiast is certainly following the developments. One of the drawbacks within the cryptocurrency community is the lack of cooperation between chains. There is certainly need for cryptocurrency and the infrastructure is certainly not there to support global on-chain transaction, probably we can get there if there is more cooperation.

To the Bitcoin Cash Community feel free to drop me tips during the Stress Test
