Africa Has An Online Shop That ONLY Accepts Bitcoin
Cash or credit? Nope, just bitcoin. As we wait for Amazon and other large sites to accept bitcoin, any new ones that do is a help for the coin. The more the better. This shop is from Africa and I do no think it is an international so you will have to move to Nigeria if you want your order, but for bitcoin users in Africa, this is something you can checkout. I went to the site and there is a countdown for 10 days before it launches, I will link it near the bottom.
The cool thing about bitcoin is any site can accept it around the world and you know what the price is. If a site like amazon accepts it, it could deliver around the world using the same price no matter where the product is bought. I hope this is just the start and we start to see more. Maybe even sites that take steem. Then you can write, earn and spend. I do not think a lot of people wan to spend their coin at this time but we can also use more places accepting them.

I am from Nigeria. Those fellows who own the website, shopnow.ng, will not be the first to accept bitcoin. Konga and jumia are the 2 largest e -commerce business in Nigeria. Konga, https://www.konga.com/ , accept fiat currency (Nigerian Naira NGN) alongside other payment options including bitcoins. In fact, they have bitkonga (bitkonga.com), a bitcoin exchange.
Thank you for the insight :).
You are most welcome, @whatageek! Trust me, if I were home, I would accept 3 cryptocurrencies (Steem, Dash and bitcoin) alongside our local currecy, Naira (NGN) as payment for goods I sell and services, which I render. Thank you very much for bringing https://shopnow.ng/ to our knowledge. I will follow up to know how they fare and probably start patronizing them. I like the new development, because it's a sign of good things to come. The more stores/shops accept cryptocurrencies in Nigeria, the better.
Austria has taken mass adoption of cryptocurrencies further to the extent that 1,800 post offices now trade bitcoins and other cryptos. I blogged about that some days ago, https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@maryfavour/mainstream-adoption-of-bitcoin-expanding-in-europe.
I think Europe owns over 9% of global bitcoin market share. Hopefully, we'll see greater adoption of cryptocurrencies in the entire African continent.
Konga and Jumia don't accept bitcoin in Nigeria.
Go to https://www.konga.com/ . I am not sure of Jumia.
Konga doesn't accept bitcoin in Nigeria.
I love this kind of service. This is what will give the bitcoin its full value.
That will be another win for the cryptocurrency. All hail King Bitcoin :)
Good news for all african crypto currency users.I think this is big step in the bitcoin future...great thank you so much @whatageek sharing this valuble news..wel done
