🗞 Breaking: Crypto Exchange Binance Relaunches After Upgrade, Grants Users 70% Fee Discount

Popular cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced on its site today, Feb. 9, that it has completed its system upgrade after technical difficulties resulted in significant delays.

The company’s post confirmed all functionality would return at 10am UTC Feb. 9, with Binance offering a two-week 70% discount on trading fees as a sign of “gratitude for their unwavering support throughout the upgrade process.”

Rarely a week passes when Tether, the company responsible for issuing the USD-pegged cryptocurrency of the same, isn’t in the news. In the last 24 hours, two separate reports into the status of Tether and its USDT tokens have been published, one examining its legal status and the other exploring its blockchain. Meanwhile, Upbit exchange has reassured its customers that in the event of USDT being withdrawn, it will guarantee all deposits in USD.

It is still too early to determine whether or not all cryptocurrency markets will remain in the green for a while. The way things look right now, all markets look particularly healthy, even though we see some assets make major moves as we speak. If the XRP price is any indication, we may see some wild swings over the next few hours and days. With a strong 53.09% gain, the XRP price is back at $1.21 once again.

🗞 IRS Forms New Team To Track Down Crypto Tax Evaders

The US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has assembled a team of 10 investigators for international crime investigations as well as for finding tax evaders who use cryptocurrency, Bloomberg reports Thursday, Feb. 8.

Chief of the IRS Criminal Investigation Division Don Fort said that the team will work with international criminal agencies to investigate unlicensed exchanges as well:

“It’s possible to use Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in the same fashion as foreign bank accounts to facilitate tax evasion.”

Yesterday, I was saying you that I want see some space between our current level and the support line in red. It is done :-) :

Technically, the next objective is now the previous TOP around 6.60$.

Let's see what will happen the coming days. A test of the support line in red is still possible but the space that we put between our current level and that line should help us to stay upper.
