🗞 A Bitcoin Rally After Tax Day? Don't Bet the Farm

When tax season ends, will the crypto bear market end with it?

Certainly, with the April 17 U.S. deadline to file approaching, there's much speculation that the crypto winter of 2018 was largely due to investors frantically selling to raise funds so they could pay taxes on 2017 gains.

"We may look back on this time as the 'Crypto Tax Crisis of 2018,' as thanks to tax liabilities we're witnessing the most concentrated period of net fiat outflows that the crypto asset ecosystem has experienced in its short life," Chris Burniske, a partner at Placeholder VC, and Jonathan Cheesman wrote in a recent, highly detailed Medium post.

🗞 Greedy Facebook Versus Ideological Telegram: Why Principles Matter

Something happened this week that rarely occurs, history offered up a side-by-side comparison with a control. Heads of respective social network and messaging platforms Facebook and Telegram were each brought before their home governments, the United States for Mark Zuckerberg, Russia for Pavel Durov. How the two men responded is telling, and should inform everyone concerned with privacy, especially cryptocurrency enthusiasts.

🗞 CNBC Fast Money’s Brian Kelly: Bitcoin Is Like The ‘Internet In The 1980s’

Brian Kelly of CNBC’s Fast Money compared cryptocurrency to the “Internet in the 1980s,” emphasizing that Bitcoin (BTC) is still in its early stages in an April 13 interview on CNBC’s Trading Block.

🗞 What is Siacoin? Competitor of AWS and WWS

How does-it work?

Users can offer unused storage space (on their hard drives or other solid-state devices) to other Sia users and earn a rental fee paid in crypto. This is called hosting.

Sounds good right?

But there is always a but...

  • Siacoin is first-generation blockchain technology. Too slow compared to new projects
  • Sia's not-very-friendly user interface. Having a simple interface is key to adress Mass Market
  • In addition to paying rent for your file on Sia Storage network, you also have to pay a fee every time you retrieve a file from the network
  • Not so much due diligence to make sure people really do keep these files on their hardware

STEEM Trading Update by my friend @cryptopassion

Here is the chart of yesterday :

Here is the current chart :

As you can see, my prediction was 100% correct and we used the MMA20 to start the bounce and look how close we are following the MMA20.

However, we need a more important UP to take some distance from that line. So I expect an increase of the UP or we have the risk to break the MMA20 soon. Let's see what will happen in the coming hours but don't forget the resistance line at 2.85$ that we will need to break soon to continue the UP.
